Answer Text:
(b) Participation in Economic life as a role of Christians in transforming the society.
- Christians have come together to participate in the economic life of the taxes, because they recognize the need for these taxes in the economic well-being of the nation.
- Christians should contribute to the economic growth of the nation because they also benefit from a healthy economy.
- Christians should invest in their country and establish business enterprises like schools and factories where they employ people.
- In the book of Colossians, Christians are taught that participation in the economy of a country is a way of glorifying God. They are advised to work as if they are working for God.
- Christians also participate in the economic life of a nation through farming. For example, most mission centres have farms which act as demonstration farms for the local people where
they can learn new agricultural methods in production of food and cash crops.
