Answer Text:
Incest as an Irresponsible sexual behaviour:
Incest refers to sexual intercourse between people who are closely related, for example, between a brother and a sister or a father and a daughter. Incest is condemned in the Bible for example:
In the New Testament, John the Baptist condemned King Herod for committing incest by marrying his brother’s wife, Herodias. Paul also
condemned a marriage between a man and his step mother. He referred to it as a serious form of sexual pervasion and the offender was to be excommunicated from the Church. It is morally wrong to have sex with members of the immediate family. It is against God’s intended purpose for sex. In some traditional African communities, such unions
cause ritual uncleanliness and those involved have to undergo ritual cleansing. The church too condemns incest as an act of sexual perversion and a sin.
