Answer Text:
Jesus appears to the disciples (Luke.24:36-50)
The disciples who were going to Emmaus went and narrated their encounter with Jesus.
As they were talking Jesus himself stood among them, the disciples were frightened and thought they had seen a ghost.
He showed them his hands and feet which had the marks of the nails.
To clear the disciples’ doubt, he asked them for food.
They gave him fish and he took it and ate before them.
Jesus explained to them that all had been written about him by the prophets had to be fulfilled.
He commissioned the disciples to be his witness.
They were to proclaim repentance and forgiveness of sins beginning in Jerusalem.
He promised them the power of the Holy Spirit hence they were to remain in Jerusalem until they received the power of Holy Spirit.
