- Haemolysis- process by which red blood cells take in water by osmosis till they burst when placed in a hypotonic solution compared to their cytoplasm.
- Process where plant cells lose water by osmosis,
become flaccid and cell membrane detaches from the cell walls when they are placed in a hypertonic solution compared to cell cytoplasm.
