The Legislature
As we have noted, the Legislature in India is bi-cameral.
The following are its functions:
-Enacting and amending the laws of the Union.
-Prefers charges for impeachment against the president in case he or she violates the constitution.
-Has powers to declare highways or waterways to be national highways or national waterways.
-It is charged with the security of the Union, has power to declare war and make peace with neighbouring states.
