- High Revenue: Through COMESA, the clearance of goods across borders has been made faster leading to improved efficiency.
- Promotion of Investment: It has facilitated bi-lateral agreements and supported export dives and exhibitions by individual members.
- Financial Assistance: The body has established a number of financial institutions.
