The standard Hydrogen Electrode
- Is the hydrogen half-cell, which has been conventionally chosen as the standard reference electrode.
- It has an electrode potential
of zero at:-
-A temperature of #25^oC#
-A hydrogen pressure of 1 atmosphere
-A concentration of 1M hydrogen ions
Note: The ions in the other half-cell must also be at a concentration of 1 molar.
