Answer Text:
Khat/Miraa
-Miraa is a wild-growing shrub and its stalks and leaves are chewed to induce excitement.
-Chewing it is also a form of drug abuse.
-It is consumed in both rural and urban areas.
-The juice in the miraa, when ingested, causes temporary excitement in the user.
-This drug is dangerous because it makes one to lose appetite for food, interferes with the digestion and also causes sleeplessness.
-The user can also become very irritable.
-Miraa chewing therefore has negative effects socially and economically on the consumer.
