Delta Plan Project
- Intended to reclaim the S.W region of Holland.
-It was started after floods killed 1800 people and destroyed 152,000 hectares of rich agricultural land due to the presence of broad deep estuaries.
- It involved closing estuaries namely Haringvliet, Brouwersha, Venschegat, Scheldt and Veersche by means of dams.
-The delta plan was part of the master plan aimed at closing
these estuaries by means of massive dams.
