As they drew near to Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. The name of the blind beggar is not given in Luke’s gospel. When he heard the crowd passing, he wanted to know what was happening. The people told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. He
shouted “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” And the people rebuked him, telling him to be quiet. But he cried more. Jesus stopped and asked him what he wanted and he responded by saying, he wanted to see again. Jesus told him, “Then see. Your faith has made you well.” He then followed Jesus giving thanks to God
