CHAPTER EIGHT
Parsimei Ole Kaelo and Mama Milanoi are having a troubled night though they had gone to their bed early. Both of them are agonizing about the matter, of involving Oloisudori in business, separately in their minds. Ole Kaelo is wondering if Oloisudori is a member of a shadowy cult that will help one prosper then later make absurd demands. After Oloisudori left, Ole Kaelo informs Mama Milanoi his demands after the loans that he assisted him to get for his business and for the house construction.
The greatest turmoil in Ole Kaelo’s heart was his demand for two daughters, Resian to Marry Oloisudori and Taiyo to be given to one of his friend. They had agreed that Resian will be the sacrificial lamb out of their desperation. This demand disturbs the Kaelos for it was strange considering their age differences.
Mama Milanoi is horrified and questions what has changed their culture that the likes of Oloisudori are nowadays not dealt with.
